Yuba Lake

We decided to have some family fun with my family. We went to Yuba Lake on Tuesday night and camped out. It was so gorgeous. We pulled into the North Beach area which is a sandy beach. So we found the only tree and congregated around it. Ryan and Theron went and docked the boat and got it already. The Ator women went to work. We are camping pros. We set up all of camp. The boys came back and it was all done, even with a fire. We ate dinner and sat around the campfire and talked and roasted marshmallows. We then got ready for bed. Jackson was so excited to sleep in the tent. He bought him an air mattress and a new sleeping bag, and he was ready to use it. Miley on the other hand was not so happy. She cried for hours. We kept feeding her bottles, and rocking her. Ryan went out in the middle of the night and walked down to the lake with her and she would fall asleep. Then we would put her down in the tent and she would wake up immediately. Not so fun. She finally went to sleep, and so we could all get a little sleep. We woke up on Wednesday morning to lots of wind, which wasn't that bad because it cooled us off. We took a morning boat ride before breakfast and did some tubing, came back and ate breakfast and started taking trip out on the lake. Jackson loved the boat and wanted to be on it the entire time. He even went tubing with Ryan. I think the thing that he loved more than anything was that he got to go pee in the middle of the outdoors. He like to pee on the sand. Miley loved the beach. She had no fear. Luckily the water temperature was 80 degrees and so it was so nice. She played on the beach with my sister. We had a great time, now we are all tired and I am so sunburned. I always get the kids sunblocked, then forget about myself. I am so just so selfless that way. We had a great time and can't wait for next year's trip.
Summer Fun

Jackson has learned how to ride his bike. He loves it so much. He fell down the other day and came walking over to me telling me that he needs his knee pads. He wants to ride all day long.

Last weekend we went to Trafalga. Jackson and Ryan rode go karts. We played some arcade games. which Jackson loved. Then we played some miniature golf. Jackson thought this was the greatest thing ever. He resembled Happy Gilmore in many ways.

We watched Pirates of the Caribbean the other day and Jackson wanted to be Jack Sparrow. So he put on the dreads and had his telescope, and pirate map. He loved it.

Smores Anyone??

This last weekend we went and had a night in Provo Canyon with Ryan's family. We were going to camp out with Tanya (Ryan's sister) but Miley got a cold so we decided to go up for dinner. We had such a great time.
We were able to introduce Jackson to the world of smores. He had fun roasting the marshmallow, but only cared to eat the chocolate from the wrapper.
He has so much fun playing with his cousins, and desperately wanted to camp out. So we will have to do that before the summer is over.
Ryan informed me while we were up there that this is his new smile. Tell me what you think?

This picture was way too cute to not post. Jackson has figured how to get into Miley's crib, much to the delight of Miley. He always is telling me that he is going to protect his sister. Just melts my heart.
By the way did I mention my little guy is totally POTTY TRAINED!!!!! 5 months later . . . 3 Herbie movies . . . countless stickers . . . 4 transformers . . .way too many loads of laundry . . . Cars/Toy Story pull ups. He is potty trained. All it took was to tell him I would put him in the shower if he had an accident. That was the last day of accidents. YEAH!!!!!

4th of July Weekend

We had a great 4th of July weekend. There is no place like Provo on the 4th of July. We have one of the biggest celebrations in the nation. Ryan had the third off as well so we took advantage and left the kids at my moms and went to Midway for the night at this great resort called the Zermatt. It was so relaxing, and we actually got to talk to each other without kids interrupting. It was so nice. Then on the 4th we participated in the Provo festivities.
Jackson and I ran the fun run mile with my sister Katie and my niece Lucy.
We had so much fun. Jackson did really good. He came in 2nd for his age division. Now, the question is how many 3 yr olds actually ran the race? Only 2? Anyways, he loved it he was waving to everyone as we crossed the finish line.
While we were running he would tell me, "Mom, my batteries are running out!" Then we would walk a little then he would sprint ahead and say, "I got my power back." Then as we crossed the finish line they gave him a finishers medal. He was so proud and wore it all day. We then went and watched some of the parade. It was getting hot and the kids were done. We went home and slept all afternoon. The was the greatest part of the whole day. For us to all sleep at the same time is golden. That evening we went to my mom's for a BBQ.
My Uncle, Grandpa, and cousins came down from Idaho. So we had some great food, and got ready for Stadium of Fire. Stadium of Fire is a big concert that is put on at LaVell Edwards stadium on BYU campus.
This year was the must year to go because Miley Cyrus was performing. So, like the loyal Disney channel fans we are we had to go and support. Glenn Beck (who we love) was the emcee, and the Blue Man Group performed. They were so awesome. If we ever go to Vegas we are totally going to their show. I wish we could have seen more of them. Then Miley came on stage. I loved the concert, however I felt so old. The screams and squeals from 10 year old girls was a little overwhelming. Jackson loved it. He told my sister that he thinks Miley is a cute girl. I think he may be experiencing his first crush. Then we watched the incredible fireworks show.
Jackson was a little scared of the fireworks, and so my mom brought ear plugs for him. He of course had to wear them the entire show. It was a great 4th of July.
